Demineralization (DM) is the chemical process of removing all dissolved mineral salts and inorganic ions from water using ion exchange resins. Unlike standard RO systems which reduce TDS down to 20 – 50 PPM, a DM plant reduces electrical conductivity to less than $1.0 mu S/cm$ (TDS near 0 PPM).
